HMD has finally become the new home for the smartphones and tablets Nokia
Yesterday Nokia announced the entry into force of the strategic agreement with Global Oy-HMD (HMD), which was announced in may of this year. It concerns the rights to intellectual property and the Nokia brand.
HMD also confirmed the settlement of all issues between the HMD, FIH Mobile Limited (a division of Precision Industries Hon Hai or Foxconn Technology Group) and Microsoft. This means that HMD becoming the new home for mobile devices Nokia for the next 10 years and could start production of the new products.
Nokia claims that its mobile phones were and still are popular in many countries of the world, and in the near future HMD will present a new line of smartphones and tablets.
Under the terms of the agreement, Nokia will receive royalties from every smartphone and tablet that will be sold HMD. While Nokia is neither a investor nor a holder of shares of the HMD.
