Google is credited with the intention to invest 880 million dollars in the production of OLED panels, owned by LG Display

Citing its own sources, the edition of the Electronic Times reported that Google offered the company LG Display investments in the amount of not less than 880 million us dollars to South Korean manufacturer increased its production of flexible OLED panels for smartphones.

Industry observers believe that Google’s offering is connected with plans to use panels of type OLED production, LG Display in future smartphones Pixel.

If an agreement is reached, Google will reduce the dependence on other manufacturer’s displays, Samsung Display.

LG Display declined to comment on the investment information.
