Google, Facebook, Amazon, IBM and Microsoft have joined forces in the framework of the Partnership on AI

The term «artificial intelligence» today can be seen quite often. Companies are not shy to use this phrase in the description of their new services or programs, although of course a full AI at the moment does not exist.

Create it in the future, in theory, can either some genius, or a large Corporation, who is working in this direction. And here are some of the largest companies in the world have decided to unite efforts in order to approach the creation of artificial intelligence.

Google, Facebook, Amazon, IBM and Microsoft created a Partnership initiative on AI. More precisely, the full name — Partnership on Artificial Intelligence to Benefit People and Society.

The initiative does not directly involve work on artificial intelligence. This is understandable, as each of the members of the group want in the future to establish one yourself. But the Union will support relevant research, share information and experience, will make more data available regarding the recent developments in this area, and will also examine questions about the impact of AI on these or other areas of human life. To do this, groups will be established, each to his own direction: sociology, medicine, transport and so on. The initiative involves the creation of an open platform where researchers can discuss issues related to AI.
