Google downloaded petabytes of data for a function Timelapse

Google Earth is not very popular. But it is quite unique and has a lot to offer.

For example, Google’s new Timelapse feature, downloading on their servers petabytes of data. So it is now possible to watch changes of an area of Land for more than 30 years.

Unfortunately, such areas are not very many. But this is enough to assess the extent of environmental changes or human intervention.

Particularly impressive is the shallowing of the Aral sea and the transformation of Dubai.
