Google acquired the Kaggle platform for scientific competitions

According to sources, Google has acquired a company Kaggle, which is the developer platform for carrying out competitions on subjects of scientific data and machine learning.

Platform Kaggle currently uses about half a million scientists worldwide, and it was founded in 2010. It is possible, Google decided to purchase Kaggle after the company recently collaborated in the framework of the competition on technology learning with a prize Fund of $ 100,000. Most likely, Google will retain the platform in its current form and under its current name.

The cost of the transaction is unknown, but it is clearly small by the standards of the search giant.
