GM intends by 2023 to have a range of at least 20 models of electric cars
Following the example of other automakers, GM said it also plans to produce electric cars. According to the manufacturer, to 2023 in its range will be at least 20 models of these vehicles. Two models will be released in the coming months.
Note that GM expects to cover several segments, including SUVs and crossovers. It is planned to use two types of battery modules differing in height.
The company also introduced a truck SURUS (Silent Utility Rover Universal Superstructure) of the fuel cell having four driven wheels. He is part of GM’s vehicles with fuel cells in addition to rechargeable electric vehicles and cars with hybrid power-plants. Note that the distribution of vehicle fuel cell can prevent the lack of necessary infrastructure of gas stations. As this problem is going to solve GM — is unclear. Perhaps the manufacturer will send to the infrastructure building part of the funds derived from the sale of electric vehicles.
When creating battery electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles will be taken into account the experience of the Chevy Bolt EV, presented in December 2016.
