For three years, Asus wants to double sales of smartphones

As reported by the resource DigiTimes, Asus intends to increase sales of smartphones to 35-40 million units and thus occupy 3% of the world market. To do this the company wants over the next three years.

Note that in the beginning of 2016, Asus expected to sell about 30 million smartphones, but in the end, for the 12 months put on the market only about 20 million, increasing sales in annual terms by only 5%. On this background increase by 75-100% over three years — the goal is very difficult.

Asus notes that in the individual markets during the year it increased sales by 20%, so will concentrate on them. In particular, China remains one of the priority areas.
