Firmware update for Canon camera EOS 7D Mark II is removed from the manufacturer’s website because of an error
In late April, Canon has released a firmware upgrade for the EOS 7D Mark II. In firmware version 1.1.1 fixed some bugs, in particular, improves stability of the camera with the wireless module, the WFT-E7 B.
However, in strict accordance with the ancient programmer’s joke, the new version was not only fixed old bugs, but added new ones. As a result, disappeared the possibility of shooting with a remote control using app Camera Connect App.
The manufacturer says that the error occurs only when you upgrade to version 1.1.1 from version 1.0.5 or earlier. If you have installed the 1.1.0 update, when upgrading to 1.1.1 the remote control is maintained. Is it on the cameras that originally came with firmware 1.1.1. All the others recommended to return to version 1.1.0, which the manufacturer again posted on its website. Fixed the update should be ready in early June.
