Fiat Chrysler is Recalling 1.25 million Ram pickup trucks due to a software error
The company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV announced its intention to withdraw worldwide, more than 1.25 million pickups. The reason was a bug in the software that blocks the function of the side airbags and the pretensioner seat belt in case the car rolls over as a result of hitting the bottom, for example, when hitting an obstacle or bump while driving on the road.
The manufacturer is going to reprogram on-Board computers of the revoked vehicles. A large part of the recalled vehicles — 1.02 million — is in the US.
