Facebook will increase staff of moderators to 3000 people after a series of incidents of violence in online webcasts
Like many other social networks, Facebook allows users to create an online broadcast, not only to place the already created video. Sometimes, however, such opportunities are used by unhealthy people.
After a series of cases when people during the online broadcast (or published on video) committed acts of violence against themselves or others, the head of Facebook mark Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg) has published a statement about how the social network intends to deal with such cases.
He said that within a year Facebook will increase the staff of moderators for 3,000 people. Thus, the track including and streaming videos are already 7,500 people. According to Zuckerberg, this should help the world’s largest social network to better respond to a critical situation.
In such situations Facebook or will try to provide some assistance in case of online translation (for example, to inform the police), or block a post with such a video. Unfortunately, this will not reduce the number of unhealthy people in society, but at least will minimize the situation when other people are watching their actions.
