External storage OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual now equipped with Thunderbolt 2 interface

The company has upgraded the OWC external storage OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual. From the previous version OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual that is equipped with interfaces Thunderbolt and USB 3.0, the new store is characterized by the presence of a Thunderbolt 2 interface and a slightly modified case. Now it has a larger fan that is quieter. Storage dimensions — 13.5 x 7.2 x 22,6 cm

The transition to the new version of the interface allowed to increase the data transmission rate to 474 MB/s. External storage OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual is designed for two drives total volume up to 20 TB. You can combine them in RAID 0 or RAID 1.

The presence of two ports Thunderbolt 2 allows for the inclusion of a store in a chain, with up to six devices. For wider compatibility, is USB 3.1 Gen 1.

The price of storage, depending on the volume of storage drives installed, ranging from $435 (2TB) to $1720 (20 TB). Enclosure without drives costs $295.
