Experts Canon created image sensor type CMOS with global shutter and extended dynamic range

Canon has announced the development of a new image sensor type CMOS with global shutter. In such sensors, unlike sensors with a rolling shutter in which charge is read sequentially, the image in all pixels are recorded simultaneously, eliminating the risk of artifacts when shooting moving objects. Using a new diagram is read and the new pixel structure, was able to increase the capacity of the potential well and reduce the noise that gives the ability to shoot video with extended dynamic range.

The format and resolution of the sensor, as well as other technical data, the manufacturer does not. However, he announced the intention to consider the use of a new sensor in various fields, including industrial, instrumentation and video cameras for film-making.
