EVGA has released an update VBIOS for the graphics cards, which are prone to overheating of the power subsystem

At the end of last month, the network appeared the message about the fire ACX GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 Samsung EVGA. The reason lay in the overheating of the power subsystem, which is not cooled in the case of data models due to the design features of the ACX cooler 3.0.

Later it became known that the problem also applies to the GeForce GTX 1060 in the same range. But EVGA has solved the problem by releasing a VBIOS update. The changes relate to the mode of operation of the fans. More precisely, the company changes does not describe, but easy to guess that it is simply on a higher speed.

Those who are not able or simply do not want to update the VBIOS yourself, the manufacturer offers a free exchange for the already flashed card. It is hoped that in the next generation of 3D cards EVGA will consider the current penalty, more will not allow this.
