Ericsson revenue falls and losses grow
Ericsson reported for the third quarter of the 2017 financial year, which closed with another decline. Revenue fell by 6% and amounted to 5.86 bln dollars.
A small operating profit earned by the company in the previous year, gave way to a loss of $ 588,9 million dollars. The net loss reached $ 527,6 million dollars, although in the third quarter of last year it amounted to only $ 25 million.
The main reason for the decline remains slow the spread of fourth generation networks. In developed countries operators almost stopped investing in the appropriate equipment, and the transition to 5G network is still a few years.
In connection with another quarterly net loss of Ericsson for the first time in eight years reduced the size of dividends.
