Due to the power outage in the industrial Park in southern Taiwan has suffered at least ten manufacturers
At least ten plants connected to a common power line in an industrial Park in southern Taiwan, have felt the effects of blackout. The reason was the accident at the substation, which resulted in the failed high voltage transformer. The repair lasted for hours.
The list of those who have suffered as a result of the accident, includes Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Innolux, UMC and ChipMOS Technologies. Production line of these companies was stopped automatically by protection systems.
Most manufacturers have been able to recover. Assessment of damage caused by sudden power outage continues.
