According to the company Toshiba has created its specialist image processor Visconti 4 selected by the company Denso for the use in active safety system based on the front camera. Processor Toshiba Visconti 4 has been specifically designed for pattern recognition systems that enable vehicles to avoid collisions.
Configuration CPU Visconti 4 includes eight processing units that can simultaneously execute eight applications. The processor may analyze images captured by the camera, and find them parked and moving vehicle, the headlights of approaching vehicles, road markings, signs and signals, as well as cyclists and pedestrians.
