Dell reported a profit increase on the background of a huge net loss

Dell has published a report on the third quarter of 2017 financial year. This is the first report of the company after the merger with EMC, which ended on 7 September.

The company’s revenue for the quarter amounted to 16.2 billion dollars that on 28% exceeds an indicator of last year. Despite this, Dell has recorded an impressive increase in operating loss and net loss.

Operating loss increased from $ 78 million last year to $ 1.5 billion in the previous quarter. Net loss increased from 264 million to $ 1.6 billion.

The increased revenue is due to growth of sales of the various devices and the increase in income from services. In the first case, an increase for the year was 16%, and the second 91%. But the loss ratio is due to a complex and large-scale processes of restructuring, which was carried out for the implementation of the acquisition of EMC. We will remind, the transaction amounted to 67 billion dollars.

When considered from Dell more, it may be noted that the division of the Client Solutions Group was rescued at 3% more than the year before. Division Infrastructure Solutions Group was able to increase revenues by 61%.
