Consumer Reports no longer recommends the purchase of a Microsoft Surface device
Non-profit organization Consumer Reports, which defends the interests of consumers since 1936, has updated its verdict on the device family, Microsoft Surface.
Consumer Reports changed its position, no longer recommending the purchase of Microsoft Surface. More specifically, Emeritus status has lost four of the previously tested devices: the Surface Book with a storage capacity of 128 and 512 GB, and also Surface Laptop with the same amount of memory. However, Consumer Reports stated that she recommends not to purchase any laptops and tablets, branded Microsoft Surface, including Surface Pro.
Based on the feedback from more than 90 thousand users who have become owners of the Surface from 2014 to 2017, Consumer Reports found that 25% of them faced problems during the second year of operation.
Consumer Reports says that the Microsoft products break more often, than similar decisions of competitors, and therefore can not be recommended for purchase.
Microsoft also said that the real percentage of failures and marriage differs significantly from the percentage outlined in new report by Consumer Reports.
