Consumer price inflation in Hungary eased in October more than forecast

According to the statistical Agency of Hungary’s consumer price inflation weakened in October more than forecast.
The consumer price index rose in October by 2.2% in annual terms, after rising by 2.5% in September. The forecast was made in respect of the weakening of inflation to 2.3%.
Prices for food increased in October by 0.5% yoy, while prices for оlежду and footwear rose by 1.7% due to seasonal factors.
Meanwhile, prices of consumer durables and services fell 0.1%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices advanced 0.3 percent in October after inching up by 0.1 percent in September.
