Company CrucialTec has patented a fingerprint sensor built into the display
The U.S. patent office granted the company a patent for CrucialTec fingerprint sensor built into the display. The developer calls this technology by the acronym DFS.
According to CrucialTec, DFS technology allows you to give a fingerprint abilities a certain area of the screen or even the whole screen. The development has already attracted the interest of manufacturers of mobile devices. CrucialTec, the company is negotiating with them on commercialization.
At each point of the three sensor integrated in a thin film transistor that allows to increase the resolution than existing sensors with a single transistor. It retains the highest light transmission screen.
According to preliminary data, Apple is planning to equip these sensors for future iPhones.
