Compact camera Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II differs from its predecessor for CPU

As expected, Canon introduced the PowerShot G9 X Mark II. Designation of new leaves no doubt that it is the development of the model PowerShot G9 X, released in the fall of 2015.

Preserving resemblance with its predecessor, the new camera also inherited her inch image sensor resolution of 20.2 MP and a stabilized lens with EGF 28-84 mm and a maximum aperture of F/2.0-F/4,9. The major improvement is related to the fact that instead of the Digic 6 processor in the camera installed a more powerful Digic 7 — same as announced in February last year, the PowerShot G7 X Mark II.

Replacing the processor is allowed to increase the speed of serial shooting in RAW format with laughable by today’s standards, a value of 1 K/s up to quite a decent 8,2. improved scene detection, tracking focus, and image stabilization. The manufacturer evaluates the effectiveness of the stabilizer 3.5 degree of exposure. In addition, the implemented tools for «developing» RAW to the camera better mode Time-Lapse Movie Mode that combines shots taken with a given interval in the video. In movie mode the maximum resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels and a frame rate of 60 fps.

Viewfinder the camera there. Its equipment includes a three-inch touchscreen display, flash, wireless communication module supporting Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC and Bluetooth. The size and weight of the camera is equal to 98 × 58 × 31 mm and 206 g, respectively. Without recharging can be done 235 pictures.

Sale PowerShot G9 X Mark II should begin in February at a price of $530. The manufacturer will offer two options for the external design.
