China will start construction of solar power plant in the Chernobyl exclusion zone in 2017
According to Agency Reuters, the two Chinese companies will build a solar power plant that will be located on the territory of the exclusion zone, closed 30 years ago after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
For the implementation of the project will meet System Integration Technology GCL (GCL-SI) and China National Complete Engineering Corp (CCEC), beginning of works is planned for next year. The plant’s capacity should reach 1 GW (gigawatt).
