China has announced a GeForce GTX 1060 with 3 GB of memory, which contains 1152 CUDA cores and is estimated at $200

A month ago, the Network appeared information about the fact that Nvidia is preparing a GeForce GTX 1060 with 3 GB of memory, which will differ from the already released version and even the configuration of the GPU.

The very next day another source wrote, as if this card will actually be released under the name GTX 1050. Now with full confidence we can say that the original information was correct. Photos of slides from the event the California company confirmed evidence that 3-Gigabyte modification GeForce GTX 1060 do not get 1280 CUDA cores, but only 1152. GPU frequency will remain equal to 1.7 GHz in Boost mode, and memory bus — 192 bits.

We can assume that such a truncation does not greatly affect performance. The cost will be $200, which will make it a direct opponent of the Radeon RX 480. Deliveries should begin in September. It is worth noting that the announcement of the card took place in China. There is a possibility that the accelerator will not work outside of China.
