Canon warns of the appearance on the market of counterfeit lenses EF 50mm F1.8 II

In the technical support section on the Canon website there was a message about the appearance on the market of counterfeit lenses EF 50mm F1.8 II for digital SLR cameras Canon. These items were identified by the company handling their owners in the service centers. The manufacturer emphasizes that it is not related to the development and manufacture of these lenses, which violate the trademark rights Canon.

To distinguish a fake from a real lens, just look at the embossed lettering Canon Inc, located on the lens mount. As can be seen in the illustration on the original lenses between the Canon and the words Inc has a gap, whereas on the fake, these words are written as one word.

The manufacturer warns that disclaims responsibility for any consequences of using counterfeit lenses, noting that the electronic part does not comply with the security standards.
