Bosch «considering strategic opportunities» subsidiary Akustica, MEMS microphones manufactured
In 2009, Bosch has bought the American company Akustica, developing microphones that use the technology of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). By joining Akustica designs and manufacturing capabilities, Bosch has become a major supplier of MEMS microphones, widely used in mobile devices and computers.
Today, the German manufacturer said that «considering strategic opportunities» by its subsidiary, adding that no other legal entities associated with the development and production process based on MEMS technology, in terms of consideration are not included.
