Blu Products have signed a licensing agreement with BlackBerry
BlackBerry owns a very large patent portfolio in the mobile segment, however, was never seen in the desire to become a patent Troll.
But recently the canadian company shifted, abandoning the self-production of smartphones and focusing on software and services. And almost immediately filed a lawsuit against two companies accusing them of patent infringement.
Among them was an American Blu Products selling U.S. smartphones without contracts. BlackBerry were accused of violating 15 patents. It was just over a year ago, but only now it became known that the company settled the conflict.
Yesterday BlackBerry Blu Products have signed a licensing agreement under which the latter will pay certain charges. No details, but Blu cannot be called a major player in the smartphone market, so the amount appearing in the agreement should not be large.
