Atlas humanoid robot is taught to balance on one leg
From robots, similar to humans, it is logical to expect the corresponding physical abilities, if we talk about movements. Design of the human body, optimized by years of evolution, allows you to crawl, swim, walk, run, jump, perform a variety of movements and take a variety of poses. These abilities for granted, not really so easy to master, as evidenced by the efforts of the IHMC Robotics specialists, who took training humanoid robot Boston Dynamics Atlas.
Another portion of the efforts of developers were directed to teach Atlas to keep balance on one leg. About the success of the robot and his «coaches», most eloquently tells a video in which a robot balances on a Board with a width of 2 cm.
Agree, not all people would get better.
