Assessment Digitimes Research, this quarter will be shipped by 21.5% fewer tablets than a year ago

Digitimes Research analysts predict that tablet shipments in the current quarter. According to their calculations, over the three months will be shipped 51,29 million devices. This is 7.3% more than in the third quarter, but up 21.5% less than a year ago.

The Apple iPad will be released 10.9 million units, up 17.2 percent more than in the third quarter. Other well-known manufacturers shipped 24.4 million tablets, an increase of supply by 18.3%. At the same time, the supply of unmarked products will be reduced by 10.6% — up to 16.0 million units.

On the seven-inch model accounted for 31.4% of all deliveries. The share of models with a screen size of 7.9 inches is equal to 14,3%, models with screens of 8.0-8.9 inch — 11.6 percent. Tablets with a screen size from 9.0-9.9 in., 20.3 per cent of the supply of 10.0-10.9 inch to 16.4%. Finally, tablets with a screen size of 11 inches is 6.1% of the market.

The largest supplier is Apple with a share of 21.3%. In second place is Samsung with a share of 15.0% in the third — Amazon (6,2%). Share Lenovo op forecasts, will amount to 6,1%, Huawei Technologies — 5,9%, Asustek Computer 2.8 per cent, TCL and 2.7%, Microsoft has 2.6%, LG Electronics — 1.6%, and Acer is 1.2%.
