Apple will build two additional centre of research and development in China
Apple today announced its intentions to build two additional centre of research and development that will be located in the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Suzhou. The opening is planned for this year.
Apple hoped that the new centres will help to attract graduates of such higher educational institutions as Peking University, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiaotong University. Also, the company believes that this will allow Apple to specialists who can effectively work with regional supply chains.
It is worth noting that in September last year, Apple has opened in China’s first center for research and development — Zhongguancun Science Park — which is located in Beijing, called «China Silicon valley». In October opened a second center in Shenzhen.
Apple intends to invest more than half a billion dollars in this area in China.
