Apple was allowed to test self-driving cars in California
Apple has received a California permit to test self-driving cars. This fact revived the rumors that the manufacturer of the iPhone is going to release self-driving cars.
The permit issued by the Department of road transport, involves the use of three vehicles and six drivers. All vehicles — Lexus RX450h 2015.
Although Apple has never acknowledged plans to create your own electric vehicle, in recent years, she has recruited many professionals in this field. A permit can be considered another confirmation that work is going. However, equally it could mean that the company is not developing an electric car, but only the software and hardware required for a self-governing movement.
An Apple representative declined to comment.
Note that permission to conduct trials of driverless cars in California have previously received Google, Ford Motor, Volkswagen AG, Daimler AG, Tesla Motors and General Motors.
