Apple received a patent for headphones built-in biometric sensor

In the database of patent Department of the USA there is a record of the patent No. 9602911 issued today by Apple. The patent application for which was filed in September of 2015 called «in-ear headphones with biometric sensor».

Described in the patent device can have multiple biometric sensors, but at least one of them must be designed for contact with the tragus.

The intent of the inventors, being pressed against the skin in that area, the sensor can perform biometric measurement.

The headset can be symmetrical and suitable for both right and left ear. In this case it needs to be equipped with a sensor that determines the current position and accordingly to adjust the operation of the headset.
