Apple is in talks about production in India

According to the source, referring to the publication the Wall Street Journal, Apple is negotiating with the Indian government about a possible production in this country. It is assumed that production in India could help Apple strengthen its position in the second number of users of the mobile market in the world.

As stated, in a letter sent to the government of India in November, Apple describes their plans in the field of production and asks about the financial incentives.

It is known that India is a state initiative Make in India, whereby a range of branded stores, manufacturers should be no less than 30% consist of local products. For Apple, an exception was made, but not on a permanent basis, but only for the next three years.

The Taiwanese company Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn), which is the main manufacturing partner of Apple has a factory in the South of India.
