Apple buys a company Turi working in machine learning, for $ 200 million

As it became known, Apple buys a company Turi working in machine learning. The amount of the purchase, reportedly close to $ 200 million.

The company Turi, founded by one of the processors of the University of Washington, is releasing tools for software developers, enabling use in programs of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Apple a lot lately is investing in the development of this direction. Just last year, it acquired specialized companies Perceptio, VocalIQ and Emollient, and also company Faceshift, which deals with image capture, animation and computer vision.

Apple confirmed the purchase of Turi, but did not go into details.
