Android Marshmallow for the first time became more popular than Android Lollipop, Android’s share of Nougat rose to 9.5%

Google once a month publishes the latest data, which indicate the popularity of different versions of the Android operating system. New information just in as of 5 June this year.

The share of Android 7.0 Nougat rose to 8.9%. If you consider Android 7.1, the total share of the seventh version of Android is 9.5%.

Android Marshmallow again took 31.2% of the market for compatible devices and Android Lollipop, the share fell to 30.8%. Finally, the Marshmallow was more popular than Android 5.0, and 5.1.


Android 4.4 KitKat is installed on 18.1% of devices, smartphones and tablets with Android Jelly Bean is 8.8% of the market. Share Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread was equal to 0.8%.
