Analysts predict a significant increase in contract prices for DRAM modules and NAND in the current quarter
Last week, DRAMeXchange analysts reported the increase in contract prices for DRAM in August of this year. Compared with July, the average price increased by 2%.
The same source claims that the rise in contract prices for DRAM and NAND flash memory will continue in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year and will exceed 10%, compared with the third quarter.
In the last quarter due to high demand, the average prices of DDR3 and DDR4 4GB capacity was about 13.5 per dollar. In the current quarter, prices should reach $ 15.
It is expected that the memory manufacturers will continue to allocate resources for the production of memory modules, designed for mobile devices that bring the most profit. This will lead to higher demand and higher prices of computer DRAM modules.
If we talk about the distribution of shares between the memory modules for desktops, mobile devices and servers, we are talking about 20%, 45% and 25% respectively.
Prices for NAND flash memory will continue to grow due to high demand from Apple, Huawei, Vivo, Oppo and other manufacturers of smartphones.
