Analysts IDC predict that global spending on information technology in 2020 will reach 2.7 trillion dollars

This year global spending on information technology will total 2.4 trillion dollars, and in 2020 they will reach 2.7 trillion dollars. These indicators will correspond to the average annual growth of 3.3% in the period from 2015 to 2020. This forecast of the analytical company IDC.

The main engines of growth of the it industry serves companies working in the sphere of production and Finance. They continue to «digital transformation», making significant investments in cloud and mobile technologies, as well as in the collection, processing and analysis of big data. The consumer segment, which by the end of 2015, accounted for about a quarter of the total turnover of the industry is reduced, as reduced costs on PC, tablets and smartphones. Analysts say that will be noticeable some growth in tablet sales, but not consumer and corporate segment.

If we talk about the corporate segment, 45 per cent of expenditure is on large enterprises, under which IDC understand the company’s number of employees to more than 1,000. Interestingly, about a quarter of the turnover of the industry provide small companies, which employ up to 10 employees.
