AMD Ryzen 7 1800X dispersed to a record 5.8 GHz frequency
German enthusiast Der8auer overclocking was able to overclock the CPU AMD Ryzen 7 1800X to record the frequency of 5.8 GHz. Processor, cooled with liquid nitrogen, and worked at the supply voltage of 1.97 V. It was installed in an Asus Crosshair VI Hero with 16GB memory DDR4-2400 running with delays.
Swedish overclocker Elmor has set another world record by breaking up the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X to 5.36 GHz and running the performance test multithreaded Cinebench R15. Eight-core AMD CPU scored in the test 2454 points, breaking the former record belonged to Intel Core i7-5960X, overclocked to 6 GHz.
In the second case draws attention to the fact that AMD Ryzen 1800X 7 showed the best result, although its incidence was 10% lower and the memory subsystem has only two channels, not four, like the i7-5960X.
