Amazon sales in the first quarter of 2017 reached 35.7 billion dollars for the year increased by 23%

Amazon has published the report for the first quarter of 2017. It starts with the value of the operating cash flow over the past 12 months, equal to 17.6 billion dollars, which is 53% higher than a year ago. Free cash flow, equal to operating minus capital expenditures for the year increased from 6.7 to 10.2 billion dollars.

Amazon sales in the first quarter of 2017 reached 35.7 billion dollars. It on 23% more than in the first quarter of 2016, when sales were equal to $ 29.1 billion.

But operating profit for the year decreased slightly. More specifically, the decrease amounted to 6% — from $ 1.1 billion to $ 1.0 billion. Net profit was 724 million dollars. A year ago it was equal to 513 million dollars.

The sales forecast for the current quarter — 35,25-37,75 billion, an increase compared to the previous year by 16-24%.
