Almost all smartphones shipped last quarter had a slot for memory cards

The source, citing data from analysts Strategy Analytics, reports that in the first quarter of this year, the lion’s share of shipped smartphones was equipped with a slot for memory cards.

To be precise, we say about 97% of all delivered in the first three months of the devices. It is worth noting that most modern smartphones offer hybrid slots, allowing you to install either a microSD card or SIM card.

According to the schedule Strategy Analytics, in the last quarter of last year the share of smartphones in the world supply was about 86%. Most likely, this is due to the high sales of the iPhone. The lowest percentage for the last three years was observed in the third quarter of 2015: 82%.

The current figure is a record, and earlier, even a mark of 95% was inaccessible.
