Action camera GoPro Hero5 will have the GPS module, touch screen and new menu

As it became known, action camera GoPro Hero5 will get built-in GPS module, which will allow you to save the exact coordinates of the place where you took your photos and videos.

It is expected that the GoPro Hero5 will be thinner and lighter than previous models GoPro Hero4. Yet the question remains whether the new camera to support a large list of released accessories for other cameras in this family.

GoPro Hero5 will support the Bluetooth Low Energy technology and the Wi-Fi bands 2.4 and 5 GHz. In addition, it is reported that the camera screen will be touchscreen, and the user interface will be significantly improved. Updated camera menu is depicted in the following video.

To access the Wi-Fi settings, MIC and the list of connected devices, users just need to swipe down in smartphones. The video also mentions the device GoPro Sniper, whose purpose is still unknown.

New action camera can be presented in September along with the first drone company, GoPro Karma. Other sources claim that the launch of the camera will be held closer to the festive period.
