According to the IDC forecast, the market for robots this year will exceed 97 billion, and in 2021 — 230 billion dollars

After the company Tractica who believes that by 2022 the market for robots will exceed 237 billion, the forecast in this area was published by the IDC.

According to experts IDC, this year, sales of robots including UAVs, as well as related hardware, software and services reached 97.2 billion dollars. This is 17.9% more than in 2016. IDC expects that in the coming years, the market for robots will grow rapidly. More specifically, up to 2021 is expected to average annual growth of 22.8%. If this forecast is correct, by the end of the specified period of the market in monetary terms will reach 230,7 billion.

Limited consumer robots will be manufacturing. This segment will account for more than half of the market. And grow the fastest will be sales of robots designed for education (by 71.9%), retail trade (51,3%), construction (38,3%), wholesale trade (37,2%) and insurance (36,3%).
