ACCORDING to PassMark, the share of AMD in the CPU market rose to 31%

The source, referring to the data ON PassMark (website now unavailable), claims that AMD substantially increased its market share of processors for the last time. However, it is clear that PassMark is based on test data of computers and not about sales. So do not forget that after the start of sales interest Ryzen CPU has been upgraded, which is clearly reflected in the results.

Anyway, if you focus on the test data, the share of AMD in the first quarter amounted to 20.6%, and by the end of the second increased to 31%. In the first quarter of last year it was equal to 18.1 per cent. The share of Intel at the moment is 69%.

It is worth noting that PassMark is only for Windows OS that also must be considered.
