According to Gartner, the smartphone market grew by 9%, shares of Samsung and Apple declined
Experts of the analytical company Gartner has finished processing statistical data pertaining to the smartphone market in the first quarter of 2017.
According to Gartner, the smartphone market grew by 9%. If in the first quarter of last year was shipped 348,2 million of these devices in the last quarter — almost 379 million
The market leader remains Samsung, although during the year it reduced delivery — from 81.19 to 78.67 million. As a result, the share of Samsung decreased from 23.3% to 20.7%.
In second place is Apple, developing for the year of delivery. However, the increase was so small — from 51.63 to 51,99 million units that Apple’s share decreased from 14.8% to 13.7%.
The top five also included Huawei, Oppo and Vivo with a share of 5.0, 8.1% and 6.8% respectively.
