According to estimates IDC, spending on cloud-based infrastructure for the year increased by 14.9%, reaching in the last quarter of $ 8 billion

IDC analysts summed up the first quarter of 2017 on the market cloud infrastructure. This category of the IDC include servers, storage and Ethernet switches.

According to estimates IDC, spending on cloud infrastructure in the first quarter of 2017 made up 7.96 billion. This is 14.9% more than in the first quarter of 2016, when spending on cloud infrastructure made up of 6.93 billion dollars.

I wonder what proportion of cloud infrastructure in the overall cost structure of the industry during the year has increased significantly. If in the first quarter of 2016 it was equal to 33.9% last quarter to 39%.

The market leader is the company Dell, which accounted for 16.2% of all sales. In second place — HP/H3C New Group with the figure of 14.0%. Closes the top three, Cisco, which owns 11.3% of the market.
