A prototype of a smartphone with Snapdragon 835 compared to test apps with the OnePlus 3T, Google Pixel XL, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Huawei P10

Yesterday, Qualcomm was to hold an event dedicated to the beginning of sales of the latest SoC Snapdragon 835, and demonstrate to journalists working prototype of a smartphone with this single-chip system.

The editor of Android Police has visited Qualcomm and had the opportunity to test the above-mentioned device in various applications.

In the application Geekbench a new SOC Snapdragon 835 is ahead of all the competitors, as in all subsequent tests, however, in a single-threaded test, the advantage over Huawei with Kirin P10 960 was minimal. I should add that in all other tests Huawei P10 ranked last.

In AnTuTu, as in the other tests, in second place was the OnePlus 3T, equipped with a single-chip system Snapdragon 821.

A similar situation was observed in the GFXBench and 3DMark. Places from third to fifth took Google Pixel respectively XL, Samsung Galaxy S7 with Exynos 8890 and Galaxy S7 with the Snapdragon 820.

It is important to add that the developers of the test instance is not worried about such issues as long-term operation of the device without overheating, so in real smartphones with Snapdragon 835 the situation, performance may be somewhat different.

Samsung Galaxy S8 with this SoC will present on March 29.
