A modular mini-PC HP Elite Slice

Mini-computers, besides modular, is present in the range of not every PC manufacturer. From large companies, these devices offer Acer and Lenovo, but now they were joined by HP.

The novelty has received name HP Elite Slice. The computer is made in the body dimensions 165 x 35 x 165 mm, and it weighs just over a kilogram. Inside there motherboard on chipset Intel Q170, and the list of processors includes five models: the Core i3-6100T (3.2 GHz), Core i3-6300T (3.3 GHz), Core i5-6500T (2,5-3,1 GHz), Core i5-6600T (2,7-3,5 GHz) and Core i7-6700T (2,8-3,6 GHz). The minimum amount of RAM is 4 GB, maximum 32 GB.

HP Elite Slice exclusively equipped with drives size 2.5 inches, and the maximum amount of SSD and HDD are almost identical — 512 and 500 GB respectively.

The connector interface is represented by RJ-45, connected with Gigabit Ethernet adapter Intel i219LM, DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs, two USB 3.1 Type-A and one USB 3.1 Type-C. provided for Optional adapters Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.2, and a fingerprint sensor.

Modules already available for HP Elite Slice, three optical drive, Vesa Plate module, allowing you to fix the computer on the rear panel of the monitor, and HP Audio Module with built-in loudspeaker, two microphones and noise reduction system. The connection of the modules occurs by means of USB interface. In addition, HP offered to Elite Slice a few interchangeable panels: one is integrated wireless charging of mobile devices, and the other dealt the touch button control system conferencing.

HP Elite Slice already available on the official website of the manufacturer in the USA, but delivery of the promised two weeks. Cost version, equipped with a processor Core i5, 12 GB RAM, SSD capacity of 256 GB and preinstalled Windows 10 64 Pro is $900.
