48 core server processors Qualcomm Centriq 2400 will work at frequencies above 2 GHz

Now Qualcomm has revealed new details about these solutions, commercial deliveries should start before the end of this year. Centriq 2400 is the CPU (in a press release, the decision also called single-chip system) with up to 48 cores Falkor based on the instruction set architecture ARMv8. Qualcomm says that — Falkor was designed specifically for a segment of cloud data centers. These cores provide «optimal performance and efficiency» in modern multi-threaded tasks cloud data centers.
The processor cores are combined in modules of two. Such modules are called Falkor Duplex. They have a common cache memory of the second level of 512 KB and a shared system bus. The total volume of the cache memory of the second level is 12 MB, and the third is 60 MB.
Processor received six-channel memory controller DDR4 with ECC. In addition, the CPU supports memory RDIMM and LRDIMM, with one or two modules per channel and a bandwidth of up to 2667 MT/s. Maximum size of dynamic memory can be up to 768 GB.
